Are there any regulations that I need to be aware of for driving abroad? |
| To
drive abroad it is recommended that you get hold of an IDP (International
Driving Permit). This will allow you to drive abroad without the need
for an individual driving license for that particular country. The
IDP is a document that is recognised worldwide but it is also necessary
to carry with you your full driving license & passport AT ALL
TIMES. The IDP costs £4 & will be valid for a period of
one year.
International Driving Permits can be obtained
by contacting either the AA (http://www.theaa.co.uk)
or the RAC (http://www.rac.co.uk)
. Some post offices will also issue IDPs. |
